Mia Dreams is a baby monitor application for Android devices that enables local audio and video streaming over your home Wi-Fi network. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data Collection
Mia Dreams collects limited analytics data to help us understand app usage and improve the user experience. No personal data, audio, or video content is collected.
Analytics Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:

Permissions
The app requires the following permissions to function:
- Camera Permission: Used to capture video from your device's camera for local streaming to other devices on your network
- Microphone Permission: Used to capture audio from your device's microphone for local streaming to other devices on your network
- Network Permission: Used to stream audio/video between devices on your local Wi-Fi network
How Your Data is Used
- All audio and video streaming occurs exclusively on your local network
- Audio and video content is never sent to external servers
- No data is stored on your device beyond what is necessary for real-time streaming
- Anonymous analytics data (screen views, app usage) is sent to Firebase Analytics to help improve the app
- Analytics data does not include any personal information, audio, or video content
Data Storage
Mia Dreams does not store any audio, video, or personal information. All streaming is performed in real-time and data is not retained after the streaming session ends.
Data Sharing
Mia Dreams does not share your audio, video, or personal data with third parties. All audio/video communication happens locally between your devices.
Anonymous analytics data is shared with Google Firebase Analytics as described above. This data is used solely for app improvement purposes and does not include any personal information, audio, or video content.
Children's Privacy
Mia Dreams does not collect any personal information from children or anyone else. The anonymous analytics data collected by Firebase does not include any personally identifiable information and complies with children's privacy regulations.
Security
All connections between devices use authentication (either PIN based or by scanning a QR code) to ensure only authorized devices can connect to your baby monitor stream.
Audio / video data is encrypted to industry standard so that unauthorised devices cannot decode the data, even if they are on the same network.
